Glass fragment with peacock feathers, These tiny fragments, possibly in lays from shrines and furniture, were made from polychrome glass canes laid side by side to create a picture. The rods were fused,left to cool, stretched to miniaturise, then sliced to form each piece. Egypt. Ancient Egyptian. Graeco Roman 1st C BC 1st C AD. Alexandria.
