A faience shabti from the burial of Shoshenq II, Shabti worked in place of the deceased in the land of the dead. In the 3rd Intermediate Period it was the custom to have 365 shabti, one for each day of the year, plus an overseer shabti for each ten workers. Egypt. Pharaonic, 3rd Intermediate period. 22nd Dynasty, c 890 BC. Tanis.
