Panel of the Codex Fejervary Mayer, To the left of the top register is Yacatecuhtli, Lord Nose, the patron god of merchants. He is carrying the symbol of the cross roads with merchants footprints on them. The merchant on the right carries the characteristic fan and staff and on his back a cargo of quetzal birds. Mexico. Mixtec style. before 1521.
