Shamans or chiefs rattle, Carved from wood in the shape of a raven with a figure of a shaman on its back. The shaman is joining tongues with a small figure, perhaps indicating an exchange of potency with a spirit familiar. The head of a hawk is carved on the lower part. Northwest Coast of America. Tlingit.
