The Ambun Stone, Nothing is known of the use of this rare carving found in a cave in the territory of the Yambu clan of the Mae Enga people. It is one of only two animal figures among the few ancient stone carvings found in New Guinea and may represent an armadillo or an embryo of the long beaked echidna. Papua New Guinea. Oceanic.
