The Roman Forum, The spring of Juturna (Lacus Juturnae). The spring was converted into a monument. The nymph Juturna, or Diuturna, was 'appointed' by Jupiter the goddess of still wasters and rivers in return for her love. She was venerated in the Juturnalia on the 11th of January by the college of the 'Fontani' who were artisans assigned to aquedacts and fountains. Italy. Roman.
