Mrs. Clemington Corson, (formerly Amelia "Millie" Gade) being congratulated by U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Yates Sterling, Chief of Staff on the Flagship Seattle. She was the first mother to swim the English Channel and was in New York giving an aquaplane demonstration to the sailors on the battleships anchored in the Hudson River.
