A U.S. Air Force C-130 Hercules delivers supplies to the U.S. Army 1st Calvary Division using the Low Altitude Parachute Extraction System (LAPES) where the cargo plane comes in at an altitude of five feet and the loads are pulled from the back of the transport plane by the parachute.
