Légende
Washington, D.C.: June 25, 1962
Aero-space pioneer Col. John Stapp demonstrates the effectiveness of seat belts to General Federation of Women's Clubs by riding a Dynamic Research Sled wearing a seat belt and then stopping from 20mph. The rubber dummy at the right flew through the air with no seat belt. Stapp has been called the fastest man in the world from his 1955 rocket sled tests.
