Eight months ago the island at the top of the photo was prime oyster beds in Matanzas Bay in St. Augustine. Developer D.P. Davis dredged up 13,000,000 cubic yards of seafloor to produce this island which he will develop into real estate. The city paid for the new Anastasia Bridge to the island.
