Less than a week after D-Day, President Roosevelt calls upon the country to purchase Treasury bonds as part of the 5th War Loan drive. The Dayton Company, a major department store, has a window display supporting the drive, and is also the sponser of the Army Show featuring the "This Is The Army, Mrs. Jones", display of war material.
