Garden Gate Selected Vegetables 1950
Légende
Garden Gate Selected Vegetables 1950. The Golden Gate bridge adorns this vegetable crate label which bears a brand name linked to the landmark. Garden Gate vegetables were packed and shipped by the Salinas marketing cooperative. The label also links the bride and brand name to the "gateway to the valley of green gold." Fruit and vegetable crates were stacked for transport all over the United States and to identify one brand from another the growers and pickers developed fancy labels for the sides of the boxes.
