Silver Clipper Crate Label 1950. A famous airplane, the China Clipper, adorns this crate label. It does not mention what fruits it was for so the Exeter Fruit Association of California could use it for any produce. Fruit and vegetable crates were stacked for transport all over the United States and to identify one brand from another the growers and pickers developed fancy labels for the sides of the boxes.
