Alexei Nikolayevich Kouropotkin (Russian: ??????? ?????????? ??????????, 17(29) March 1848 - 1925) was the Russian Imperial Minister of War (1898–1904) who is often held responsible for major Russian drawbacks in the Russian-Japanese War, notably the Battle of Mukden and the Battle of Liaoyang.
