St,petersburg, russia, june 8, 2002, the usinsk tanker (in pic) launching ceremony took place at st,petersburg's admiralty shipyard on saturday, the usinsk is the fifth in the series of vessels built under lukoil's order, it is a heavy ice tanker capable to move in northern seas, it is 155 metres long and 24 metres wide, the height of its sides is 13 metres, the tanker is capable to carry up to 20,000 tons of cargo, the state-run admiralty shipyard is russia's oldest shipbuilding company founded by a decree of peter the great in 1704, over the three centuries, the shipyard has built more than 2,000 ships and various vessels, for the world market, the enterprise mainly produces tankers and food transporting ice-class vessels of 5,000 to 70,000-ton capacity.
