Moscow, russia, march 20, 2000, a view of the inner yard of the matrosskaya tishina prison ward, heads of 20 embassies and diplomatic missions in moscow and correspondents were invited today to take a look at the prison ward's hospital on the occasion of the world day of tuberculosis, the justice ministry plans to draw attention of the russian and international public to the high rate of tuberculosis and aids in russian penitentiaries and to launch a public campaign for raising funds to combat the tuberculosis epidemics and to reform the penitentiary system.
