Georgia, may 23, 2003, at a groundbreaking ceremony (in pic) for the georgian stretch of the baku-tbilisi-ceyhan oil pipeline in east georgias tetritskaroid district, on friday, the ceremony to mark the event was attended by delegations from the united states, azerbaijan and turkey, as well as by representatives of british petroleum company and other investors in the project, the project provides for the construction of a 1,760-km-long pipeline valued at 2,95 billion dollars.
