Romans offering sacrifices to the Gods
Légende
Romans offering sacrifices to the Gods, their most usual offerings were the suovetaurilia, consisting of a pig, a sheep and an ox. The animals were killed by a specially appointed person called a popa, and the better part of the intestines, covered with barley-meal, wine and incense, were burnt upon the altar.
