Magic Lantern slide circa 1900 hand coloured. created in 1887. A tour of North Wales. 21 Aber Waterfall.—A visit to this beautiful cascade may be made the basis of a morning's excursion. It is situated about two miles beyond the little village of Aber, which lies five miles from Bangor, at the entrance to a romantic glen. Rhayadr Mawr, as the cataract is called, is precipitated in a double fall down the centre of a dark mountain's front. The upper part is broken by the rugged cliff into three or four divisions ; the lower is a broad sheet of foaming water falling more than 60 foot.
