Magic lantern slide circa 1900.Victorian/Edwardian.Social History.No. 10.—The Museum, First Floor. This, like the Achbishop's Palace, to which it is similar, gives us a good idea of the open and airy manner in which the Orientals build their houses. Gracefully wrought marble columns support a cool and shady colonnade, protected in the inside by a beautifully carved balustrade, whilst between the columns festoons of ivy and other evergreens give the scene a refreshing appearance at all times. The Museum is not particularly rich in antiquities, though well Avorthy of a visit, if only to see the interior of a Moorish Palace L, with its elegance of form and simple charm of design everywhere so apparent.
