History of Spain. Reign of Alfonso XII (1874-1885). Barcelona, Catalonia. Celebrations on the occasion of the end of the Third Carlist War. Barcelona, as soon as there was news of Estella's occupation, celebrated splendid parties. Peace Monument by Antoni Rovira i Trias (1833-1897), erected in 1876 at the end of the Ramblas, in front of the port, in an esplanade in front of the Atarazanas military barracks, at the expense of the City Council.
