Lady of Galera. Sculpture of Phoenician production of the beginning of the 8th century BC. Alabaster. It depicts an enthroned goddess (Astarte) flanked by two effigies with the double Egyptian crown. Hold a bowl with both hands. It was conceived as a ritual vessel for the oil to anoint the deceased. Found in an Iberian tomb from the 5th century BC. From the Tutugi Necropolis, Zone I, Grave 20 (Galera, Granada province, Andalusia, Spain). National Archaeological Museum. Madrid. Spain.
