Tunisia. After the conquest of the country by France, and the constitution of the French Protectorate in 1881, there were subsequently some revolts in the regions of Kairouan and Sfax. Tunisian uprising. Tunisian troops camp under the command of Ali Bey (Ali III ibn al-Husayn) (1817-1902), between the villages of Testour and Medjez El-Bab, in the north of the country.
