Grave goods of a Roman doctor: two scalpels, three probes with bronze, a catheter, ivory medicine chest, slate palette for grinding ointment ingredients, bronze bowl for mixing medicines, metal scissors (bronze and iron), iron knife, bronze spoon with marks on the handle for the measurement of liquids, two silver amulets with engraved spells, which indicate that the doctor believed in magic as well as in science. Middle 3rd century.
