Temporary emergency levees constructed by the Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, hold back water that is flooding areas along the Souris River Basin near Minot, N.D. June 2. The Corps of Engineers is currently reinforcing levees within the City of Minot and other communities along the river to protect citizens from this year's historic flooding. The Corps continues monitoring levees and is prepared to respond as needed.
