Akodai, the rock-fish. ( Sebastes matsubarae ). Known as the medetai, good-luck fish. Together with bamboo grass. Poem by Suzugaki. From the second series of nine fish prints published c 1840 – 42 by Yamasho ( Yamadoya Shobei ). Utagawa Hiroshige, also Ando Hiroshige (1797 – 12 October 1858), was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist, considered the last great master of that tradition.
