Poster from the Reichstag elections in Germany, 1928, produced by the Communist Party of Germany (Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands). It shows the figure of a naked woman tangled with a black snake, on which is written the number 218. This refers to controversial paragraph 218 of the German penal code which related to abortion. The text reads “Fort mit dem Abtreibungsparagraphen. Frauen wählt Kommunisten! = Away with the Abortion Clause. Women Vote Communist!.
