Golden-hued Garuda bearing Vishnu and Laksmi
Légende
Golden-hued Garuda bearing Vishnu and Laksmi on his shoulders. Vishnu’s feet rest on his upturned palms. In his upper right hand the god carries the chakra (discus), in his upper left the shankha (conch) and in his lower right the gada (mace). His lower left hand encircles the waist of Laksmi, seated on his left thigh. She holds an open lotus in her right hand and looks up to her lord. Garuda, with a kite-like nose and multicolored wings, is clad in a short lower garment enlivened by a sash from which protrudes a dagger. Snakes wind around his calves and, as a garland, a large snake is draped over his shoulders.
