The one who gave the eyes
Légende
Hunter Kannappa, ‘the one who gave the eyes’ wearing sandals, dressed in a short garment and armed with bow, a quiver and a basket hanging from his right shoulder. A five-headed cobra extends its hoods above the linga, adorned with numerous garlands and decorated with a tripundra (three horizontal lines). One eye of the linga is visible, while the other is obscured by Kannappa’s shod foot. Kannappa holds an arrow above his eye, held by the arm of Shiva which emerges from the top of the linga.
