War of Roussillon, also called War of the Pyrenees or War of the Convention, (1793-1795). Conflict between the Spain of Charles IV and the First French Republic. Death of Luis Fermin de Carvajal, 1st Count of La Union (1752-1794), attacked by General Dugommier between 17 and 20 November 1794, he was killed by a rifle shot during a reconnaissance near the hermitage of Roure, in the so-called Battle of the Black Mountain or Battle of Montroig.
