San Francisco, California: July 28, 1943, San Francisco's facilities for service men received a much needed boost with this 88 bed dormitory in the Civic Center as a gift from contractor Robert McCarthy. The construction of the building was started at 8 AM and finished by 8 PM, of the same day.
