Tacoma, Washington September 7, 1927 Tacoma Boy Scouts climbed to the top of Mt. Tacoma (now Mt. Rainier) to release pigeons with messages to Chief Scout West of NY and to President Coolidge in Washington DC. Here they just arrived at the 14,411 foot summit.
