Tacoma, Washington September 7, 1927 Tacoma Boy Scouts climbed to the top of Mt. Tacoma (now Mt. Rainier) to release pigeons with messages to Chief Scout West of New York and to President Coolidge in Washington DC. Here they are just releasing the pigeons on the 14,411 foot summit.
