Légende
Quilp Vents his Spite on the Figure Head. Sampson Brass had never seen anything in the smallest degree resembling this substantial phantom. The dwarf threw down the newspaper, and seizing a rusty iron bar, dealt the figure such a stroke on the nose that it rocked again. Is it like Kit, is it his picture, his image, his very self? he cried . Illustration by Harry Furniss for the Charles Dickens novel The Old Curiosity Shop, from The Testimonial Edition, published 1910.
