One of a series of four prints showing King's African Rifles soldiers leaving Nairobi to fight in German East Africa (Tanzania.) This print shows ranks of African soldiers on parade, standing at ease. In front of them is a European officer, named in other sources as Keneally, reading from a book, on his left is an African sergeant. In the central background are rows of other soldiers waiting.
