Jews, men and women, aged 15 to 45, were mobilized and sent immediately to the various training camps on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, not far from the battle raging on the Jaffa-Tel Aviv border. A camp was set up for recruits from the coastal region. At this camp they are introduced more particularly to the method of action of the Haganah. In other camps, the Jews learn to use all kinds of weapons, most of the male recruits have already fought and after three days of training, they are ready for combat.
