Jaroslaw Dombrowski (1836-1871). Polish nobleman and military officer who served in the Imperial Russian Army. Fled to France where he fought with the Paris Commune in 1871, of whose forces he was eventually appointed commander-in-chief. He died of wounds he sustained fighting on the barricades. Portrait.
