Enrico Dandolo was the Doge of Venice from 1192 to 1205. He was the 42nd Doge. Anglicized his name is Henry Dandolo. He played a role in the Fourth Crusade and in the Sack of Constantinople (at the age of 90, he led the Venetian contingent). He has been honored for his piety as well as his shrewdness.
