Count Gunther von Schwarzburg, pictured here, was set up as a rival Holy Roman Emperor to Charles IV in 1349. However, he was soon deserted and his death at Frankfurt, Germany, quickly followed. This illustration is an engraving from the tomb of the count in Franfurt Cathedral.
