Hermod Before Hel
Légende
According to Norse mythology, Hermod (also spelled Hermoor) was the son of the powerful god Odin. In the myth, Hermod is distrsught after the death of the god Baldr and volunteers when asked by Frigg, Odin's wife, to go to the underworld to offer Hel, the deity in control there, a ransom in return for Baldr. Hermod takes Odin's horse, Sleipnir, for the journey. Before Hel (as seen here), Hermod presents his case and Hel agrees if all things dead and alive weep for him. Baldr then gives Hermod the magic ring Draupnir that Odin has placed on his bier. Hrmopd toakes the message back to Odin and the other deities.
