Reinforcements for a hard pressed line. A detachment of troops rushed up to help their comrades hold certain trenches where an enemy was imminent. Note that the Servian trenches were not so deep not so wide as those of the Western front. This is because they were hastily constructed, the army being in almost continuous retreat before a superoior enemy.
