Aesop's Bell the Cat
Légende
Aesop was a sixth-century B.C. legendary composer of Greek fables, whose characters were animals. Each fable had a moral. It was said that Aesop was a slave and had been freed by his master. Milo Winter (died 1956) was an American book illustrator. Among his works are illustrations of Aesop's fables. The one here is 'Bell the Cat,' with the moral: It is one thing to say something should be done, but quite a different matter to do it.
