Senate Chamber at Montgomery

It was in this Senate chambe in Montgomery, Alabama, that the Confederacy was formed. American historian Benson Lossing sketched this image in April 1866. The mahogany furniture was the same as that used by the members involved in the formaing the Confederacy.
