History of Spain. Catalonia. Tarragona. Fire on the merchant steamer ""Carmen"", off the mouths of the Ebro River, in the early hours of 29 May 1884. The ship's captain, Pedro Jose Guerra, ordered the evacuation of the entire crew when it was no longer possible to extinguish the fire.
