Coronelia de la Guarda del Rey (Royal Guard). Military unit based in Madrid, with the mission of defending the Spanish royal house. It was instituted by the regent Mariana of Austria in 1669, during the minority of her son Charles II. It was popularly known as ""the Chamberga"", because of the coat it wore as a uniform.
