Hispano-Moroccan War (1859-1860). Military conflict between Spain and the Sultanate of Morocco. ""Battle of Wad-Ras"" (23 March 1860). After conquering the city of Tetouan in February 1860, the Spanish expeditionary army under General Leopoldo O'Donnell advanced towards Tangier.
