This illustration of an electric automobile dates to 1902. It was built by the Electric Vehicle Co. (founded in 1897)  of Hartford, Connecticut. It will be noticed that the customary forms of vehicles have been as closely followed as possible, this one being on the lines of the Phaeton built in Chicago by the Woods Motor Vehicle Company, which sold for $2,000. and had a top speed of 14 mph and a range of 18 miles.
