It is known as the Ermine Portrait and is housed in Hatfield House. The ermine was the symbol of royalty and here you can see the animal with a gold crown. The queen wears the “Three Brothers’ jewel, a gem made of three diamonds set in a triangle around a pointed diamond. Federico Zuccaro, also known as Federico Zuccari (died 1609) , was an Italian Mannerist painter and architect, active both in Italy and abroad.
