'Being A Boy' (published 1878) is  Warner's profound and entertaining memoir of his childhood spent growing up on a Massachusetts farm. Warner (1829 -1900) was an American novelist and essayist. He was a close friend of Mark Twain, and co-authored 'The Gilded Age: A Tale of Today' with him.
