David Livingstone (1813-1873) was a Scottish missionary and explorer in Africa. He discovered Victoria Falls in 1855. When there was no news from him for some time, British explorer Henry Morton Stanley was sent to find him. He did so on November 10, 1871, at the small village of Ujiji near Tanganyika.
